NextD N2's SPDIF output port is NOT optical, but electrical. Instead of using an optical Toslink SPDIF cable, an electrical 3.5mm digital coaxial SPDIF should be used to take the digital sound out through the SPDIF port.
An alternative to using SPDIF is using the HDMI port for audio connection to the audio system.
